She answered every question.
Etymology
From Persian **جواب** (javāb), meaning "answer" or "reply," itself derived from Arabic **جَوَاب** (jawāb), the verbal noun of **جَاوَبَ** (jāwaba, "to reply"). Persian served as the courtly and literary language of the Indian subcontinent for centuries, seeding Hindi-Urdu with a vast administrative and conversational vocabulary — जवाब being one of its most everyday survivors.
Cultural note
जवाब देना ("to give an answer") is so embedded in Indian daily life that it extends beyond literal replies — it can mean "to account for oneself" or even "to retaliate." The phrase जवाब नहीं ("no answer / no equal") is a common compliment: *उसके खाने का जवाब नहीं* means "her cooking is unmatched." Note that in formal or written Hindi, उत्तर (uttara) is preferred over जवाब, but in speech जवाब is overwhelmingly dominant.
